I think most people would agree that nowadays wellies are acceptable footwear pretty much anywhere! Obviously I wouldn't recommend wearing them to a black tie do, however I see more and more people wearing them to go shopping in the supermarket or to pick the kids up from school. Wellies are, of course, pretty much obligatory for walking the dog! Why are wellies so popular? I think it's simply because they're practical: guaranteed to keep you warm in even the wettest conditions and with brands like Hunter producing wellies that have style, they've become the perfect wet weather footwear. But which Hunter wellies to choose? As Hunter have gained popularity they've introduced more and more styles into their range of wellies so it can be a little daunting trying to work out which to go for. Hunter Originals are wellie boot icons and recognised around the world; the definitive wellie, they'll keep you nice and dry but if the temperatures drop you could try Hunter's new Snow wellingtons. They have a neoprene lining and a sole that's been designed to give you lots of extra grip on icy surfaces. Or if you'd prefer an all-round robust boot that can cope with anything, Hunter Balmorals would be perfect. Within Hunter's Balmoral range there are a couple of different options; Hunter Balmoral Royals have a leather lining, there's a Balmoral boot with a neoprene lining whilst my personal favourite are the Hunter Balmoral Classics. Now is the perfect time to add the finishing touch to your winter weather wardrobe with a pair of Hunters; with all that choice on offer there's really no excuse....
